Jaffna Central College, once a renowned educational institution, seeks to revive its glory days and support Tamil-speaking students across Sri Lanka affected by the ethnic conflict. The UK OBA has initiated a fund to bring 50 bright students to Jaffna Central, covering their education expenses, including hostel facilities and extra tuition. The aim is to help underprivileged students, their families, and the Tamil community at large. The fund, managed by the Jaffna Central College Old Boys & Girls Association UK Branch, plans to raise £20,000 for A/Level scholarships, supporting students' university careers. Currently, 15 students have been incorporated for the A/Level 2024 batch, and efforts are underway to enlist 25 more for the A/Level 2025 batch. Donations are encouraged to make a positive impact on the education of deserving students and contribute to the restoration of Jaffna Central College's legacy.
